Facebook implemented a home page redesign, a few months after the latest redesign integrating all your friends in a live feed.

• Users are now directed to the News Feed by default, showing them the most important updates from their friends (based on a Facebook algorithm defining who they are interacting the most with).
• Users can still have the Live Feed by switching to the other tab, this will be very similar to the previous design (Twitter-like).
• The biggest change will be for developers as they will need to see the impact on their apps updates on the News Feed and Live Feed
